Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 6 year old was recently involved in a car accident and has been complaining of neck pain. She is is physical therapy with me and the chiropractor thinks she has a swollen lymph node..she hasn t been sick for about a year. Do u think this is serious? Should I take her to a specialist
It is only a one sided lymphadenopathy. If the size is small, about 1x2 cms, observe for any increase in swelling. Watch it. If the size is around 2x2 cms, it needs evaluation. Persistent swelling for 1 year needs evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prasanna Lakshmi, Pediatrician
