Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Nervousness While Trying Different Foods?
I have had this problem since I was about four years old. I limit my eating to only the following: I eat bread, potato chips, french fries, and chocolate. I do not eat any kind of meat at all. When I try to eat normal foods I gag and end up not nervous. What kind of eating disorder is it? How can I change?
Thank you for your mail.I would like to ask you some questions like did you ever have any bad experience with other food items,do you feel suspicious about hygiene of the food or anxious about throwing up the food, your age, your family members' eating habits etc so that I can understand the problem properly.Meanwhile, start tasting all foods, one food one day in a little portion. Hope this will help you ,if you answer above mentioned questions I could be able to help you in a better way.
