i sprained my thumb three days ago, i went to casualty on the sunday and got an x-ray on the thumb because i thought it was broke but in actual fact it is just badly sprained. the ligament is not ruptured.

At the hospital they placed a bandage around the area. When i got home it seemed the bandage was quite tight and i could feel a numbness in my thumb however i left it on over night and lousened it then on Monday. Even after lousening the bandage the numbness and tingling of the thumb has not gone away, have i damaged a nerve or something?
