Hi,I am a 32 yo with 2 children, no significant medical history. I had my second Mirena IUD inserted the beginning of April. I had the old one removed (after 5 yrs) and received the replacement in the same visit. I tolerated the procedure well and have been fine. Last week I had my "period" (a day or two of brown spotting). This week I have had some cramping on and off. Not severe, but just enough to be annoying. No other symptoms. I can still feel my strings. Is cramping a side effect of Mirena?
