What Causes Pain And Bloated Feeling In Stomach After Having A Meal?
32 - Male 6'4" - No medical history at all. I have had a discomfort in my abdomen the past 3 days, it started after eating a normal sized meal and hasn't stopped. It's kind of a pain/bloating feeling in my stomach. I have normal bm's and no blood or anything in my stool. My stomach tells me it's time to eat but when i eat just a little bit I feel full. Whats going on with me?? Thanks in advance.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Discomfort in stomach for the last three days is indicative that there may be gastritis as you are feeling full after eating a small meal yet feel hungry and there is no symptoms related to stool. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get started on a PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone and antacids and see the results. If there is no relief, consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and further investigations. Send stool, blood and urine for tests. Upper GI Endoscopy can be diagnostic and helps to plan further management as needed. The possibility of sub-clinical gastroenteritis has to be kept in mind.
