Hi,
If you have taken the X-ray and
MRI than what was the detailed report provided about the bone and the
soft tissue. As you inquired with the
white patch this could be swelling but to understand it much better a detailed report should be good.
Also, you said you are not able to extend the knee completely that means you may he having some pathology of the ligaments which may have got revealed in the MRI scan. Based on the Physical examination by the orthopedist and also by the help of detailed MRI report we can come closer to the diagnosis and provide the optimum treatment plan.
For time being I will advice you to first use hot water fermentation to provide the vascularization to the muscles around the knee so that the
metabolism waste starts moving and swelling comes down. Please keep the leg elevated over the pillow while lying position.
Opt for lose clothing as well. Perform ankle toe movement's and some basic knee pressing down. Any movement in the muscle will help drain the metabolic waste and reduce the swelling.
Try doing simple knee bending and extending slowly by you own within the bed so that you get good ROM of the knee joint. If the orthopedist diagnose it as
ligament injury than the treatment plan will be changed from his end.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
