What Causes Pain In Abdomen?

I have had pain in my lower right abdomen for approximately 9 months. I had umbilical repair surgery 4 months ago which was revealed by cat scan and not found by an ultrasound. The knot like feeling around my umbilical is gone but the pain is still there and getting worse. Especially with physical chores, exercise and sex etc.. It reaches from my right groin, into my abdomen and wraps around my lower back. Bed rest does alleviate it. Another recent ultrasound was negative along with an mri. A radiologist friend of mine told me that with the mri they should of had me exerting myself. This pain is progressing and is reducing my quality of life. I do believe I have another hernia. I did have Perthes disease when I was a child. An mri of my right hip was negative also. My pain scale peaks around 9 but never enough to want to go to the emergency room. Any options would be greatly appreciated.
