What Precautions Should I Take To Prevent Hip Pain?
I am a 44 year old female, who had Perthes Disease as a child. I have been noticing alittle hip pain here and there for many years now. What precautions should I take as an adult to prevent pain and hip replacement in my older years. Should I be following up with any type of Doctor?
Hi Welcome to healthcaremagic After going through your query I came to know that you may be having early osteoarthritis of hip as you earlier suffered from Perthes Disease as a child . It can be confirmed by x-pelvis with both hips AP view. Its treatment is diacerine and glucosamin. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovering. You can follow up orthopedic surgeon for it. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
