Hi thanks for contacting HCM... According to history it looks like viral gastroenteritis ... But as diarrhea continous , do stool routine microscopic examination.... If stool shows pus cells antibiotic like ciprofloxacin given for five days. . If ameba egg seen metronidazole given ... If stool report normal with no parasites or pus cells than symptomatic management continued ....And racecadotril can be given for non infected diarrhea. .. Maintain hydration with lots of fluid. ... ORS also taken to maintain electrolyte balance ... Zinc supplement given along with probiotic .. If still no improvement USG done and stool culture can be done .... Hope your concern solved ....
