What Causes Pain In The Area Of Surgery Near The Lumbar Spine?

Hi, i m a 62 year old woman who had a cyst removed three years ago, just to the right of my lumbal spine in the gluteal region. The scar is still tender so that i can t lean back in a chair or lie on my back. There is no pain on movement but because I always have to sit crookedly, and tend to tense my muscles, my lower back is very stiff. Is there anything that can be done?
