What Causes Pain In The Neck And At The Back Of The Head?
I ve had left neck pain with headaches in back of head, mostly left side; sometimes inner ear ache. lost sense of taste about month later. Surprised when I went to doctor to find out I ve lost over 20# in this last year. (I ve always had a very stable weight of around 115-120). Last two days have had 3 times a very heavy pressing feeling right below neck where I feel it into my throat. Doctor scheduled MRI of head and neck for today. I am 69...Had heart ablation in o8 when Wolfe Parkinson-White syndrome discovered. No problem until now.
Wolf-parkinson-white is condition in which episodes of fast heart rate occurs because of an abnormal extra electrical pathway in the heart, in this you can experience palpitation, dizziness, fainting etc. Although, some people with WPW have no symptoms. Treatments are available for those who do experience symptoms.the long term outcome is excellent.
The treatment of WPW syndrome may include observation without specific interventions, the use of various medications, and a surgical procedure known as catheter (radio frequency) ablation. If no any symptoms arise then no need of therapy. Pain in neck and back of head can be related to bad posture, herniated disk or migraine. YOU can apply heat on the neck. Massage with oil. REST in a quit room. Take anti-inflammatory like Naproxen or Ibuprofen with prescription. Muscle relaxant.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
