What Causes Pain In The Neck, Right Hand And Headaches?

I have pain in my neck, right hand and head aches. I had surgery and fused from c4-c7 nine months ago. The pains I am having are new. I just had an MRI done 2 weeks ago. The findings were ( c3-4 right para central protrusion causing about 2.7 mm encrouchment on the anterior of the the all sac. Canal diameter is 9.9 mm. There is some right posterior spurring at c4-5 and c5-6 levels causing some encrouchment on the the cal sac but no gross canal stenosis is seen. Mild narrowing g of the right for amen is seen at c5-6 due to uncover reveal hypertrophy. My surgeon said it all looks good. But I think something is going on. Thank you Amy C.

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to nerve compression at cervical spine level.

For further assessment you may require MRI neck, nerve conduction studies after consultation.

Till then you can take tablet acetaminophen. Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally. Heating pads will also help.

You may require tablet Pregabalin after consultation. Continue physical therapy and avoid strenuous activity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
