Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There are many causes of pain after THR. They range from the loosening of the prosthesis to wearing out of the implant & even defective implants. Kindly go back to the doctor who operated upon you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist Jay Indravadan Patel's  Response
Hello,

As you have undergone THR in the past, I think now it's time to do exercise which helps to stabilize the hip, core and knee muscle groups. This muscle plays an important role in stabilizing the joints and providing good gait and endurance for walking.

Usually, post-THR most patients undergo Total Hip replacement rehabilitation program so that the outcome score is good. Doing guided exercises under an expert physiotherapist should get good outcome score.

In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most THR cases responded well to post THR rehabilitation program and outcome score is optimum.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Jay Indravadan Patel, Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist
