What Causes Painful Cuts And Bumps In Lower Labia?

I have small painful cuts in my lower labia Near the petorum area and little small bumps. Its painful when I go to the bathroom and I can barely wipe because of the pain. It has been like this for the last few days. What s wrong with me? Is it an std or something or an infection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

The presence of small painful cuts in your lower labia and bumps is indicative for infection. To determine if it is STD or other common infection, I'd ask:
- to have a photo of your current problems
- get tested for STDs
- get vaginal swab testing
- urine analysis
- blood work

Depending on the tests results, specific treatment is prescribed. For the moment, I advise to :
- keep a good hygiene of your genitalia
- avoid sexual intercourse
- apply betaine 10% on the cuts

Hope it helped! Wish fast recovery!
