What Causes Painful Eye?
hi,my right eye is painful,in the temple and most of my right side of the face. The eye lid keeps closing,it gets very tired nd then shuts. if i wear the eye patch i can open eye under patch and pain is reduced by half. could this be ptosis? thanks. pam

Pain on Right side of temple may be due to simple problems like Sinusitis and Migraine. Sometimes may be serious causes like Temporal arteritis.
Suggest try pain killers like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen. Steam inhalation also helps in certain cases.
If problems persist or increase please see your family physician
