Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My grandad has eosinophilic anemia, and I've had asthma, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and lots of illnesses--including bronchitis and pneumonia--and these symptoms are similar to many of the ones my grandfather did. Is it a possible diagnosis for me as well?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows: 1. Yes, it is possible. Allergy leading to eosinophilia can be inherited 2. Get your differential leukocyte count evaluated. It would show eosinophilia. 3. Hemoglobin evaluation is also needed. Asthma usually leads to eosinophilia, discuss with your doctor.
Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
