Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday i had a panic attack with really bad palpitations that lasted 15 minutes. In the evening i had another 2 or 3 palpitations but nothing to worry me. Today i have been getting quite a few palpitations every hour or so...about 3 or 4 per hour. They have now stopped for 3 hours. I have no other symptoms while having the palpitations. I was diagnosed with anxiety 2 years ago and have been taking dolusepin 75mg a day. Do you think the palpitstions are snything to worry about? I have had palpitstions on and off since 2 years ago. Blood tests showed nothing back then.
Palpitations can be related to many diseases relating to heart, hormones , psychology etc.... assuming that you were diagnosed with anxiety disorder ,the causes for repeated palpitations of yours are may be due to 1. irregular medication 2. dose changes 3. causes which require to investigate more eg:Pheochromocytoma hope this helps...etc
