What Causes Persistent Cough, Cold And Nose Blocks?

My son is 4 1/2 yrs old. since past 1 year he is getting sick twice in every month.
cough, cold nose block snoring & unease in sleeping. Sometimes comes with fever & ear pain.
we have been going to an ENT specialist for past 1 yr.
He is getting cured only through antibiotics.
After the antibiotics course again the same thing happens.
We have done 4 Xrays, Doctor asking for an adenoid surgery.
But after getting a second opinion it's not that alarming.
Can anyone suggest What should i do?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
in all probability it's an adenoid causing a recurrent infection... you could put him on a steroid nasal spray for at least 2 months.. consider surgery if no improvement .
