Hello, I have a friend who has the following symptoms: a) Feels pressure in his head. b) Has sensitivity to vibrations: Vibrations aggravate pressure. Sensitivity to vibrations when driving a car. c) Head is very sensitive to the touch. d) Some dizziness when moving the head. My friend has seen doctors: CT and MRI exams have been performed but still doctors have not found cause of the problem. Do these symptoms are familiar to you? Do you have an idea of what the problem could be? What is the best medical organization in the US that my friend can consult with? Thank you
I carefully read your question and would explain that your friend symptoms seem to be related to tension type headache. The normal CT and MRI results are another argument in favor of this diagnosis, coupled with the clinical characteristics of his headache. I would recommend consulting with a neurologist and discussing the possibility of starting an antidepressant (Amytriptiline, Mirtazapine, Sertraline). It will help relieve his symptoms.
Hope to have been helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards, Dr. Aida
