What Causes Protruding Veins On Forehead?
My 80 year old mother has veins that have recently started protruding in her forehead. She has been treated for high blood pressure. She is seeing her regular doctor in 4 days but I suggested she see her cardiologist or pulmonary doc. She had pulmonary embolism several years ago.

The visible veins in the forehead at this age is quite normal. As a person ages the intact skin and the blood vessels losses their elasticity and so the skin starts wrinkling. As the skin wrinkles,the structures below becomes visible.
There's no relation between hypertension and pulmonary embolism to distended veins in the fore head.
