One morning I woke up with a puffy upper eyelid on my right eye. I thought it was just allergies, so I took some allergy medications and some antihistamine eyedrops, but it didn t work. Finally, after some weeks, I went to my doctor who prescribed me Patanol. It worked for the time being, but it flared up again. Since then, it s now happening on my left upper eyelid. It doesn t hurt, no tears, it itches sometimes (not always), and the skin is dry, sometimes flaky (not a lot). It s been 2 months, and I hate waking up in the morning and seeing my lids in their abnormal state. SO finally, I went to an ophthalmologist, and he told me it could be an eyelid dermatitis. He also mentioned that it could also be a symptom of thyroid eye disease which got me freaked out. What are your thoughts?
