What Causes Recurrent Fever?
Hello. I have had a fever for the past two days. It finally went away last night and now it is back but not as severe. Its only 99.5-100. I went to the doctor and she said it was a viral infection that needed to run its course. Any reason the fever may come back?

It is possible that it is a viral infection. Fever can resolve temporarily only to return in a few hours.
Some persons find that the fever occurs at a certain time of day.
Other symptoms may occur that would help determine what type of infection is occurring.
You can consider the use of paracetamol , cool liquids to help with the fever.
