What Causes Red Bumps On Tongue And Blisters In Throat?
I have been to an ENT concerning vocal cord swelling, although now there is white all over in throat, and red bumps on back of throat with alot of white near back of tongue, and the uvula is really red on the sides. There are red bumps on side back of tongue. The spots on the back of throat almost look like blisters
Understanding your concern. As per your query red bumps on tongue and blisters in throat could be due to poor immunity of your body and viral/ bacterial infection. I would suggest you to :-
- Do warm saline rinses several times a day .
- Do beta-dine rinses twice a day .
- Apply orabase gel on sores .
- Take one spoon of honey in lukewarm water daily in the morning to boot your immunity.
Consult ENT specialist for proper examination to find out the exact cause. Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test and endoscopy of esophagus. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti allergic drug steroid ointment for cold sores or aspirin.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
