What Causes Round Red Circle On Skin After Meningitis Vaccination?
My 12 yo son had a meningitis vaccination 2 days ago and tonight he has a perfectly round red circle which is several inches wide around the injection site. Should I take him back to the doctor? Could this possibly be cellulitis or is it a common reaction?

Infection site reactions are common and so long as the site is not severely swollen, painful, secreting pus, or otherwise looking anything worse than what you've described it is appropriate to keep a close eye on things.
Also, I assume he is acting and behaving and functioning like any other 12 year old would so that's another sign that everything is likely fine.
