What Causes Scalp Numbness With Tingling And Migraines?
55 yr old male, healthy fit, asthma since childhood, have had a migraine for 7 days no prior history, had CT at ER 2 days ago, they said everything was ok. Now have numbness on right side of scalp coming down to my manible. middle of scalp has tingling (pins and needles) when touched. left side has no symptoms. Migraines come in waves from constant 3 to as high as an 8 in degree of pain. Throbbing is constant.
This sounds like something called a complex migraine. They can often present similar to strokes. If it does not improve or gets worse go back to the ER. Also, consider seeing a neurologist for further recommendations.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
