My son went to the neurologist this week. There is some scarring in his pons. There is a noticeable change in the MRI from a year ago to now. It is fading. We know it is not MS, however, it remains a riddle to what it actually is. My question is what can cause scarring to occur in the pons?
This still sounds like some sort of demyelinating process (MS is in that group of diseases), as a stroke or other injury to the brain would not improve/fade with time.
