What Causes Sensitive Nipples And Swollen Breasts With Mirena?
Hi my name is vanessa I am having very sensitive nipples and my breasts seem fuller. I have experienced this before usually a week before my period but I have the mirena and my periods are usually very light and seem like im just spotting and just like 2 weeks ago I think I got my period however I don t know if it was my period or if it was just spotting its very hard to tell sometimes which one it is because the mirena has made my periods so light that its hard to tell sometimes. But I was wondering about my nipples and breast tenderness. I know this usually happens when someone is pregnant however I have the mirena im just wondering if I should be worried about being pregnant or if its normal? Thank you
Irregular spotting is very common with Mirena use. The symptoms you are experiencing could very well be pre-menstrual. However, if the symptoms persist after a week, please be advised to take a home pregnancy test.
