What Causes Severe Back Pain With Cramps And Prolonged Periods?

I went on the 3 month contraceptive injection after our son was born in 2004. I during the past couple of years started experiencing severe menopause symptoms and I was advised that I can't go on menopause treatment whilst on the injection. So I had my tubes tied in Feb 2011. Since then I am now on Femostone Contri and Hexal 5mg.

I am at my wits end because I have now for over 2 weeks had a light/medium period. Sometimes I think it has stopped only to start again after a couple of hours. I also get severe cramping and lower back pain. The cramping is not in my stomach but where I presume my ovaries are. (This prolonged period has happened a few times before after having my tubes tied).

Unfortauntely my Dr does not seen to understand the frustration and pain I am going thro, and this current situation is really driving me nuts!!!!! I am aged 40.

Please please can you give me some advise.

Thanks/Regards,

Carla
