What Causes Severe Ear Pain?
My ear has been hurting really badly for about a week or so. It feels like its swollen inside and my hearing is muffled. Now it seems to be draining because there was crusty stuff in it this morning. Also, from the back of my ear down the side of my neck is swelling and is painful. What's going on? Thank you!

Hi,
It seems that you might be having Acute Otitis Media i.e. severe infection in your middle ear giving this problem.
Consult doctor and get examined.
You may require one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course for 5 days.
Put antibiotic ear drops.
Ok and take care.
