What Causes Severe Leg Pain In A Type II Diabetic?

My sister ( age 70) visited me on Thanksgiving and she said that she wasn't feeling well for about 6 months. I asked if she had any blood work recently because both of my parents had Type 2 diabetes. Since I also have diabetes I checked her fasting glucose (218), she ate breakfast, (2 hr pp-331) and then 3 hour pp was 398. I took her to a hospital and she clocked in at 334. They gave her Metformin 500 mg. She went to her doctor today and he told her that he MISSED a glucose reading of 160 a year ago and did not order any tests except for thyroid and sent her to two specialists for leg pain. I am so mad at my sister because she still says she trusts him and anyone can make a mistake. I think he's a jerk and she should get another doctor. What do you think?
