What Causes Severe Pain In Right Side Of Back, Stomach And Lower Abdomen?
I have been having severe pain in my lower back, now I m having sever pain in my right side of my back as well as the right side of my stomach and lower abdomen.I m also a woman who s 5 8 and about 285ish lbs. My medical history is unknown to me because I was adopted and don t have that info.I m a big eater but I have no desire to eat,no temptations for my normal cravings and have a slight feeling that I m going to vomit.I ve also had sever pain in my lower abdomen to the point that I was bent over in excrutiating pain and could not stand up and found it easier to lay on the floor to relieve some of the pain. And every month during my period I have alot of pain that feels like someone is trying to rip my insides out and that (for lack of a better way to say this) a huge blood clot needs to come out.At first I just thought it was because I wear tampons but I ve tried going all day without one and I still felt it.I ve even gone to my gyn to see if the iud was in place and she said it was good. But it has been a bit since then.I ve done a little bit of research about the iud that I had inplanted about 4 1/2 years ago. Some of the things that I read about other woman having sounded similar. I ve gone to doctors and they ve prescribed meds for me they worked maybe the 1st or 2nd day into them and then they didn t work anymore. I m at a loss as to what to do now.I m SO sick of going to the doctors ...they don t ever run any tests. What could this pain be or is it possibly more than one thing?Thank you
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history. Read your history and understood that you have pain in the back and abdomen and in the lower abdomen during periods with passage of clots and have IUD. Your classical history of increase in pain on bending down looks to be due to prolapsed inter-vertebral disc. And the pain in the lower abdomen during menstruation looks to have Gynecological problem, may be due to Endometriosis. I would have advise you the following. - Get an MRI of the thoracic spine. CT scan of the whole abdomen. Investigations of the blood, urine and stool to rule out any other problems. Diagnostic Laparascopy. All these investigations will definitely help you to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
