Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Left Hand Side Of The Stomach?
I have been on a deaddiction course and have been off alcohol and smoking for the last two months after nearly 20 yrs. While I am feeling much better overall I have developed very severe pain in the lower left hand side of the stomach with cramps and a general feeling of weakness. I had a full body check up including an angio and everything is fine. What can this be ?
If the pain is severe then it could be renal colic and stone could be the cause. Many times the stone may not be detectable in routine procedure apart from this it could be the nonspecific colicky pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
