Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had severe tailbone pain, radiating into my left leg and lower back. I am now unable to sit or tolerate lying on my left side. I do have hemangiomas on my lumbar and thoracic spine. I am on COUMADIN. I had a svere fall onto my tailbone Jan 10 and now the pain has gone from severe to excrtiating. Could I have a hemangioma or hematoma of the coccyx and could you recommend anyone in the Dutchess county area in ny
It could be due to conditions like coccalgia. As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MEI scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
