What Causes Sharp Abdominal Pain And Constipation?

i am coming towards the end of my menstrual cycle and have been suffering from severe abdominal pain, on and off over the past 5 days. i am a 24 year old woman and have been on a contraceptive pill about 5 years now, this has just started over the past few months. aswell as the abdominal pain im also suffering from constipation/diarrohea, flatulence and my stomach is distended at times. i also am getting bad back pain which feels like it is radiating around from my abdomen and i have also felt nauseated and weak at times. the best way i can explain the pain in my abdomen is like a sharp, sudden pain. it also feels like my abdomen is contracting or twisting which makes me double over and makes me short of breath. any idea what this could be?

Thanks for your query.

Noted your history of pain in lower abdomen , constipation alternating with diarrhea, flatulence, distension, back pain pains like twisting and contracting abdomen.If this is happening during the menstrual periods, this is indicating a cause in the pelvis as Endometriosis, PID- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Tuberculosis or peritonitis . This get enhanced during the periods due to congestion during the menstruation.

I would suggest you the following:
Standing X-ray of the abdomen.
Ultrasonography
tests of blood urine and stool.
Colonoscopy.
Clinical examination by a General Surgeon and Gynecologist and further treatment as per the findings ...
