Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fractured my cauxis bone many years ago. I have always had hip problems (a birth defect left my left leg 1 1/2" shorter than my right). I have also developed plantar fascitis on the right foot & same side as my lower back sharp pain (around kidney area). It comes as a SHARP pain when i do normal activities. What can it be & how can it be helped?
Hello! Welcome to health care magic. Thanks for your query.
In your case you have not mentioned the duration of the pain, still considering it as an acute problem we will try to provide a solution to your problem.
In your case straight leg raising test should be performed to rule out sciatic pain due to herniated disc which is likely to be the cause of the pain.
Further X-ray of pelvis and lower vertebrae should be taken to rule out the cause the underlying problem.
The pain be treated conservatively with aceclofenac, paracetomol and gabapentine.
Consult an orthopedist and take further suggestions. Wish you a good health. Thank you. Dr. Kidev.s
