What Causes Shivering And Presence Of Blood In The Urine?

I had my 4th baby 8 days ago, and today i started peeing dark red, stringy blood. It hurts really bad, my whole body starts shaking and I get really cold. It causes a lot of pain in my stomach and area just below my stomach. It even hurts to walk for 5 to 10 mins after. What is wrong?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Your symptoms suggest that you could be suffering from urinary tract infection and this is perhaps consequence of the procedures adopted during the process of conducting the delivery. The pain and the presence of blood in urine are suggestive. You should see a specialist for a proper clinical evaluation, get urinalysis and a renal scan to plan further management. For simple urinary tract infections, urinary anti-spasmodic, urinary antibiotic, plenty of oral fluids and supportive treatment is sufficient. For more severe infections, specific plan of treatment is necessary. Please take adequate rest and maintain genital hygiene. Wish you good health.
