What Causes Sick, Fever, Stomach Ache/bloating, Smell In Nose, Shoulder Blade Pain?

Recently came back from punta Cana and since my return home, I initially got sick with fever and stomach aches with bloating. Had very strange smells in my nose all day long making me nauseous on and off. Been to dr twice and ER once because of sharp pains under right shoulder blad. Had sonograms, X-rays, bld work and shows nothing. No diarrhea so don t think it s a parasite???????

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection. I recommend using an over the counter option like Imodium to relieve diarrhea. I also recommend using daily probiotics. I suggest to drink liquidiser, eat a plain diet and rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
