I feel really sick after tanning earlier in the sun, i feel like throwing up and a bit dizzy. I also worked out this morning really hard, i usually workout twice a day but recently started lifting heavy weights and i puked after my last workout. Ive never trained this hard in my life, im on a diet too and i dont know if i had enough water today. My stomach really hurts, i have a big.headace and ive already had a tylenol. I didnt get sunburned either, i had spf 15 sun screen. I live up north of canada so usually we get a lot of snow and ive just recently had nice 24 deree weather. Please let me know. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to:
1. Deficiency of certain nutrients like Iron, Vitamin B 12, Calcium, etc. which interferes with blood formation & nerve conduction.
2. Any fluctuation in blood sugar levels (Hypo/ Hyperglycemia)
3. Any fluctuation in blood pressure levels (Hypo/ Hypertension)
4. Inadequate hydration & electrolyte imbalance.
5. Any pathology in the vestibular apparatus in inner ear (it is associated with maintenance of body posture & balance)

Symptomatic relief can be obtained with Vestibular sedatives like Betahistine preparations.
In addition, you can take nervigenic agents (like Vit B6, B12, Folic acid) & Pantoperazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).

If it still persists, then you need to consult your Physician & get a complete clinical examination done.
Investigations like estimation of blood pressure, blood sugar levels, serum electrolytes & vestibular function tests will be required to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & proper nutrition status and avoid stress.

Wishing a Good Health.
Take care.
