Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sleepiness, weakness And Dizziness When On Heart Medication?
I had a heart attack back in July 2013 and I have 9 different medications to take. I am a truck driver and with the medications I stay sleepy, weak and sometimes I have severe dizziness to the point where I have to pull off the road till I get myself together. I was asked to go on disability last july but I proceeded to work and I was wondering what your professional opinion is.
Any one of the several medicines may be contributing Or the initial heart problem itself may be responsible
Appropriate treatment demands accurate diagnosis And diagnosis demands examination; probably investigation too
Get yourself reviewed – Cardiologist \ ENT specialist (balancing mechanism is in the inner ear) \ and/or a neurologist (brain centre or blood flow) MRI and/or MRA may be needed
Good luck God bless you
