What Causes Small Red Spots On Fingers After Dental Extraction?

Several weeks ago my daughter had her wisdom teeth removed. That afternoon she noticed her elbow was red and sore. She also had a small red spot on the inside of one of her fingers. We spoke to the oral surgeon, but he couldn't relate it to her oral surgery. The next day a nickel sized blister had formed on her elbow and a smaller one had formed on her finger. We went to local emergency care practice and the doctor there prescribed an antibiotic and a steriod cream. They eventually healed and went away. Now, 5 weeks later they are back in the same place.
