What Causes Sore Breasts And No Periods Having The Mirena Coil Inserted?
Hi, I have been having a lot of pain in both breasts, it started in just one, on the underside of the breast, but now it is in both breasts, no lumps, I am on the mirena coil, so no periods, I am 45. it is not the same time each money, it is all the time .

Hello,
It is due to hormonal changes associated with mirena IUCD. It is more seen on the initial days of IUCD insertion and will settle by itself. As a first line management you can take analgesics like mefenemic acid for pain relief.If pain persists better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
