Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM.
There can be two reasons for these sore lumps on the roof of the mouth every month,
1. First it can be possible that there is some infection in the upper back teeth and now it is spreading to the gums and cause soreness.
2. Second it can be possible that the bone in the roof in infected and causing this soreness.
To get it confirmed you have to visit a dentist and get a full mouth x-ray done which will show the area of infection.
Hope it will help you.
