Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doctor, I have sticky stools and sometimes my bottom is sore after going to the bathroom. I sometimes get a swollen stomach after eating and each might lately I get spasms in my stomach after food, it feels like vibrations. This goes on for an hour or so while I'm in bed. I don't understand it as I eat a huge amount of vegetables. Do you have any idea what it might be and how I can tackle it?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Stomach cramps with sticky stools may be due to dysentery or Irritable bowel problems or malabsorption syndromes or inflammatory bowel problems etcetera. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol, avoid caffeinated drinks and fatty food. Avoid dairy products and gluten-containing food. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
