What Causes Stomach Gas,headaches And Lower Back Pain?
I have a gassy stomach, nasuea, lots of catyrr and a slight temperature (37.6) I also have a headache, aches in my lower back and slight ear pain. Is this just a virus? Is there much chance it could be something else? I don't really understand where the stomach discomfort fits with the rest of teh symptoms.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Lots of catarrh, fever, ear pain can be due to viral infection, but this can also affect the gastrointestinal system. The best way to get a differentiation is as follows: Get the stool and blood tests done. This will give an adea whether this is viral or bacterial. The symptomatic treatment remains the same for either of the infections that is antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic. If there is an indication of bacterial infection, get the proper prescription based antibiotic from your Doctor that covers both the respiratory as well as intestinal infection from your Doctor and you also get a clinical examination.
