What Causes Stomach Pain And Vomiting In A Child After Head Injury?
my 5 year old daughter bumped her head on a table at school yesterday on her left side. Her ear got the brunt of it which resulted in three small slits in her ear, a very small irritation on her head. That was before 1pm yesterday and at 6pm today she was saying her belly hurt really bad and started vomiting. She hasn t complained of a headache at all and I made sure she was able to hold down food yesterday. She also has not seemed extra tired or dizzy. Could this be something more serious than the stomach virus?
Stress either physical or psychological can lead to stomach ulcer/inflammation.which can be cause of stomach pain and vomiting both.I would advise oral ranitidine. If vomiting is persistent it would be better to take your child to neurosurgeon as it can be a sign of building pressure inside head (raised intracranial pressure ) Hope you find this answer helpful.Good luck
