What Causes Stomach Pain And Vomiting With Black Chunks And Bile?
My daughter has moved to Utah and has had many problems because of the altitude. Recently, however, she has had leg pains and a pain in her stomach. She also started throwing up. There are large black chunks in her vomit along with bile. What could this be?

The cause of pain in abdomen, vomiting large black chunks with bile and leg pains are indicative of the following:
1. Gastroenteritis with impending stool changes.
2. Gastritis alone, related to acidity problems.
3. Intestinal obstruction in proximal part of small intestine.
This can be diagnosed by the following:
1. X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
2. Ultrasonography of abdomen.
3. Tests of blood, stool and urine.
Clinical evaluation by a doctor as it helps to assess the clinical condition and helps to decide the further plan of management and investigations if required.
Get started with a PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone for vomiting and antacids.
