i have an alt of 113 and have been passing out and having bouts of vomiting...should I be worried and my stomach hurts in the middle and I had a uterine ablation & d&c about 10 days ago...dr does not seem worried but I still question that because he was not fuly answering my questions
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Since uterine ablation and D&C were done the possible cause of pain in the abdomen can be uterine perforation or injury that has caused the local problems in the stomach or intestine. This can be diagnosed by the following: Get a CT scan of the abdomen done as this can indicate if there was any perforation or injury or any other unrelated problem that caused the pain in abdomen. If only Alt is raised and rest of the liver function tests are normal then the possible cause can be drug induced or not much significant. You can get a review liver functions after three day to see if there is any improvement or increase in liver function tests and get treated accordingly. be on liquids only and you can get a second opinion of a General Surgeon to find out the cause or rule out any problems that can occur after any surgical procedure.
