Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Stomach Upset With Nausea And Light Headed?
Four days ago after eating, i felt like the food was stuck in my stomach, i had discomfort in the area between my navel and sternum and it seemed that things stopped moving. I was unable to have a bowel movement and by the next day, not only could i not eat anything solid, i felt nauseous and light headed every time i stood up. Since taking multiple laxatives, i have been able to have a bowel movement (1 solid, 1 liquid) over the course of six days, but i am still only able to moderately tolerate liquids and soft foods. I still feel sick to my stomach and bloated.
I have reviewed your query, and here is my advice.
It may not be the food chocking or anything stuck inside the stomach but it can be due to spasm of esophagus muscle, an inflammatory condition of the esophagus and due to some reflex disease because of the hyperacidity.
You can try Tab. Omeprazole. Avoid taking spicy and fried food instead have more alkali food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain,
