What Causes Sudden Drastic Weight Loss?

I have had drastic weight loss 60 pounds in the last seven months. BM of at least 25 + daily. I am a 35 year old female. 120-130 depending on the week. I have had colonoscopies, gastroscopies, catscans, stool samples, a series of medications, blood work monthly and everything had been normal until today. Today I was informed that my ASCA test came back at a 27 which is a flag that possibly I have crohns disease which previously had been ruled out. I now have to go for xrays and then swallow a video camera for futher testing. I have informed if these don t match the crohns findings their really is nothing left for my gastro to do and that I will need to seek treatment at cleveland clinic. I really don t understand what another facility would be able to do what already has been tried. Any imput is greatly appreciated. I have two young children and a husband that travels and recently I lost my job because of this condition.

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have gone almost every possible testing and find out that there is suspicion for crohn's disease.

Go for video capsule testing. If needed go for intestinal biopsy. One more possibility is autoimmune diseases. You should go for ANA by IIF once. It can leads to undiagnosed weight loss.
