What Causes Swelling In Food Pipe?

i have an ongoing issues with my stomach, have loose stools gone for an endoscopy and found that have a swelling in my food pipe but after 10 days of medicine i still have a pain but now the pain has shifted downwords and occurs only when its touched...

Hello,

I think you are describing esophagus. Food pipe swelling may be seen in Esophagitis, GERD, or Barrett’s esophagus etcetera and it not possible to touch esophagus.

If you are describing colonoscopy, then it may be possible polyps, proctitis, hemorrhoids or carcinoma of colon. Until not confirm by biopsy, it difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
